Firstly, I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to visit the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences at University College London (UCL). Other than continuously working on finishing my thesis, I have also been working with Dr. Bonnie Chow’s research team, learning about their projects and discussing their project proposals.
These experiences will bolster my ability to implement and support similar research in the Czech Republic, as Czech research in this particular field is relatively
scarce at present. During my academic visit, I have also had the chance to attend lectures and seminars that have developed my research skills and knowledge, especially in the fields of developmental and cognitive psychology, and psycholinguistics. Although I am only half way through the academic visit, I have already learnt a lot and am making the most of the activities on offer.
I believe that the experience will not only benefit me professionally, but it will also bring benefits to the research community by sharing and implementing shared know-how through collaborative inter-institutional efforts, and gaining new collaboration opportunities.
